God Reveals

We believe that worship is simply responding to God as He reveals Himself. The Bible describes God revealing Himself through His word, through His Sprit and through community with other believers.

The heavens declare the glory of the Lord. Psalm 19:1

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

I made myself known to people who were not looking for me. I was found by those who were not asking for help. I said “Here I am. Here I am,” to a nation that was not praying to me. Isaiah 65:1 & Romans 10:20

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption. As proof that you are children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God. Galatians 4:4-7

We Respond

God desires communion with you, but access to God is only allowed through our mediator, Jesus Christ, who died and was raised so that we are made clean and acceptable in God’s Holy presence. Our worship response is focused on and through the person of Jesus Christ; for what He has done and continues to do.

Jesus told them, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that He was buried as was raised according the scripture… for since death came through man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 1 Cor. 15: 3,21

Our Mission

The mission of the worship ministry is to lead our congregation to respond to God’s Truth and to encourage people to worship God in every moment of their lives.

Choir

No audition required
Not required to read music
Bellevue membership is not required, but encouraged
9th grade & older
Sing at 9:15am & 10:45am services
Attend rehearsals Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 PM
Participate in Special events
Attend Winter Worship Retreat
Choir breaks from July to mid-Aug and mid-Dec to mid-Jan

Worship Team

Audition is required
Membership in Bellevue’s Worship Choir for a minimum of three months is required prior to auditioning
Worship team rehearses Wednesdays, 7:00-7:20 PM
Worship team serves in a rotating schedule
Have a natural stage presence, enjoy interacting with people, and the ability to blend vocally
Have a humble spirit and a focus on leading people in worship

Orchestra

No audition required, but High School level experience necessary
Bellevue membership is not required, but encouraged
9th grade & older
Play at 9:15am & 10:45am services
Attend rehearsals Wednesdays, 7:00 PM
Participate in special events
Orchestra breaks from July to mid-Aug and mid-Dec to mid-Jan

Band

Band positions are auditioned
Rehearsals Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00 PM
Band members serve in a rotating schedule that varies depending on available players
